COVID-19 Information

I am so looking forward to seeing you again!

There are a few new Ontario Public Health protocols that all visitors will need to follow

If you have a fever, a new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, had exposure to someone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, or have been told by public health to self-isolate, please cancel your appointment.

As required by Public Health:

• do NOT come if you have been told to isolate or are feeling sick

• you may wear a mask if you like, and/or ask me to wear a mask

• arrive at your appointment time

sanitize your hands upon arrival 

• please come to your appointment alone, unless you need assistance or are a minor

THE APPOINTMENT

  • Arrive as close to your appointment time as possible

  • It is your choice to wear a mask

  • Sanitize hands upon entry

  • Complete a negative COVID-19 (this is asking you if you are feeling well)

  • If possible, please avoid using the restroom

  • the room will be sparse to allow cleaning

  • Limiting all surface contact, for example: pay online option and tap, signed emailed receipts, online forms

OPERATIONS

  • I will be wearing a mask, clean clothes and other PPE when appropriate

  • Limited appointments; clients spaced at least 30min apart to facilitate cleaning/disinfecting and maximize environmental control and client-to-client distancing

  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting

  • Do I need to wear a mask?
    No. It is your choice whether you wear a mask or not.
  • What happens when I get to my appointment?
    When you arrive at your appointment time you are welcome to park in the driveway. Please knock on the door and come in. You will be asked if you are feeling well or if you have been told to isolate.
  • What will Kelly RMT be wearing?
    If you would like Kelly can wear a clean surgical mask, face shield (if applicable) and clean clothing. Please contact her prior to your appointment so she will have her PPE on.
  • What has Kelly RMT done to prepare?
    Kelly has completed the required training on PPE and droplet/contact prescautions, Public Health Ontario's "Infection Prevention and Control Fundamentals," read and implemented all regulations put forth by her college and Public Health.   • How is Kelly RMT Cleaning and Disinfecting?
    Kelly is using a 'wipe-twice' (wipe to clean, wipe to disinfect) method using products approved by Health Canada. In addition to routine procedures all surfaces, doorknobs, switches, counters, electronics, etc will be disinfected before and after each client. All items that can not be disinfected have been removed. In addition to linens being changed between clients, blankets and pillows will also be changed.
  • What about other clients and social distancing?
    Kelly is the sole practitioner at her home based clinic. She has a separate client entrance. She is scheduling her appointments with a minimum of 30 min between clients to facilitate thorough cleaning and disinfecting and eliminating all client-to-client interaction.

  • What is the COVID-19 screening?
    Before your appointment Kelly must screen you following the MOH's COVID-19 Patient Screening Document Guidance and the COVID-19 Regerence Document for Symptoms. You will need to complete a questionnaire prior to your massage. If you do not complete a negative screening, Kelly can not provide treatment, regardless of the rationale for Massage Therapy Treatment.
  • Where do I complete the COVID-19 Questionairre?
    Kelly will complete the COVID screening in person, when you arrive at your massage.
  • What happens if I do not pass the screening or do not complete it?
    If you do not pass the COVID-19 screening, Kelly can not provide treament regardless of the rationale for Massage Therapy treatment. At this time Kelly is suspending all cancelation fees.
  • What happens if I come down with symptoms before my appointment or my answeres to the screenging changes?
    If you come down with COVID-19 symptoms before your appointment please cancel your appointment. If you have symptoms or contract COVID within 3 days after your appointment please let Kelly know.
  • What happens if I develop symptoms after my appointment?
    If you develop symptoms after your appointment you must let Kelly know as soon as possible. You should self-isolate and complete the online self-assessment tool before calling you primary care provider or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000.
  • What are COVID-19 symptoms?
    Common symptoms of COVID-19 include: • Fever (temperature of 37.8°C or greater) • New or worsening cough • Shortness of breath (dyspnea) a full list of sumptoms can be found HERE
