COVID-19 Information

I am so looking forward to seeing you again!

There are a few new Ontario Public Health protocols that all visitors will need to follow

If you have a fever, a new or worsening cough, shortness of breath or had exposure to someone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, please call to cancel your appointment. Please do not come to your appointment.

As required by Public Health, when visiting, please be sure to:

• wear a mask for your appointment

• complete a negative COVID-19 screening

• arrive at your appointment time and be pre-screened

sanitize your hands upon arrival 

• please come to your appointment alone, unless you need assistance or are a minor

THE APPOINTMENT

  • You must WEAR A MASK

  • Arrive as close to your appointment time as possible and call to be screened

  • Sanitize hands upon entry

  • Complete a negative COVID-19 screening prior to your appointment

  • If possible, please avoid using the restroom

  • the room will be sparse to allow cleaning

  • Limiting all surface contact, for example: pay online option and tap, signed emailed receipts, online forms

OPERATIONS

  • I will be wearing a mask, clean clothes and other PPE when appropriate

  • Limited appointments; clients spaced at least 60min apart to facilitate cleaning/disinfecting and maximize environmental control and client-to-client distancing

  • At this time I will not be treating vulnerable populations (pregnant, over 70 years old or immunocompromised)

  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfecting

  • I will be working from my ANCASTER location only at this time to maximize environmental control

COVID-19 Screening

What is the COVID-19 screening?


Before your appointment Kelly must screen you following the MOH's COVID-19 Patient Screening Document Guidance and the COVID-19 Regerence Document for Symptoms. You will need to complete a questionaire prior to booking your appointment and online at least 24h prior to your appointment (or if you are unable, call 289-440-5282), and again in-person before your massage. If you do not complete a negative screening, Kelly can not provide treatment, regardless of the rationale for Massage Therapy Treatment.




Where do I complete the COVID-19 Questionairre?


Please complete this questionairre at least 24h prior to your appointment. You can access a online form here. Or text 289-440-5282 to speak to Kelly.




What happens if I do not pass the screening or do not complete it?


If you do not pass the COVID-19 screening, Kelly can not provide treament regardless of the rationale for Massage Therapy treatment. At this time Kelly is suspending all cancelation fees.




What happens if I can not make my appointment or come down with symptoms before?


If you can not make your appointment for any reason or come down with COVID-19 symptoms before your appointment please contact Kelly to let her know. All cancelation fees are suspended at this time.




What happens if I develop symptoms after my appointment?


If you develop symptoms after your appointment you must let Kelly know as soon as possible. You should self-isolate and complete the online self-assessment tool before calling you primary care provider or Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000.




What are COVID-19 symptoms?


Common symptoms of COVID-19 include: • Fever (temperature of 37.8°C or greater) • New or worsening cough • Shortness of breath (dyspnea) a full list of sumptoms can be found HERE





General

Do I need to wear a mask?


YES. As required by Public Health and the College of Massage Therapists, you are required to wear a mask before you enter, for the duration of your appointment and not remove the mask until you have exited.




What type of mask do I need?


As a client, you may wear a clean disposable or reusable mask. It can be cloth. If you do not have a mask Kelly will provide one for you but please let her know before your appointment.




What will Kelly RMT be wearing?


Kelly will be wearing a clean surgical mask, face shield (if applicable) and clean clothing. If you would like she will also wear gloves and an apron.




What has Kelly RMT done to prepare?


Kelly has completed the required training on PPE and droplet/contact prescautions, Public Health Ontario's "Infection Prevention and Control Fundamentals," read and implemented all regulations put forth by her college and Public Health. How is Kelly RMT Cleaning and Disinfecting?


Kelly is using a 'wipe-twice' (wipe to clean, wipe to disinfect) method using products approved by Health Canada. In addition to routine procedures all surfaces, doorknobs, switches, counters, electronics, etc will be disinfected before and after each client. All items that can not be disinfected have been removed. In addition to linens being changed between clients, blankets and pillows will also be changed.




What about other clients and social distancing?


Kelly is the sole practioner at her home based clinic. She has a seperate client enterance. She is schedualing her appointments with a minimun of 60 min between clients to facilitate thourough cleaning and disinfecting and eliminating all client-to-client interaction.




What happens when I get to my appointment?


When you arrive at your appointment time, please knock on the door and wait to be addmitted. Kelly will check to see that you are wearing a mask before you enter (if you do not have one, she will provide you with one), you will need to sanitizer your hands and she will screen you again before your massage.
